ROCKLAND/OWLS HEAD - Voters in Rockland and Owls Head have elected Anne H. Beebe-Center as the state representative for House District 93, announced Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap, Tuesday.

Beebe-Center, the Democratic candidate, won the four-way contest with 915 votes. Republican James M. Kalloch had 770 votes, followed by Green Independent Ronald Calvin Huber with 34 and Libertarian Shawn S. Levasseur with 11.

A total of 1,732 ballots were cast. All of the candidates are residents of Rockland.

Today's special election was necessitated by the resignation of Elizabeth E. Dickerson of Rockland, who had won the House seat in the November election. Dickerson submitted her resignation to the State on January 20.
