Kellylee Evans to sing at the Chocolate Church

BATH -- The Chocolate Church Arts Center will end the 2010-11 season on June 4th at 7:30 p.m. with the amazing jazz and soul sound of Kellylee Evans.  The Canadian singer’s latest album is a tribute to Nina Simone, seamlessly fusing jazz and her own version of “soul pop” in an iconic repetoire.  She was nominated in 2007 for both Juno and Gemini Awards, and won for best female artist at the Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards.  In March of 2011, she won the Juno Award for Best Vocal Jazz Album of the year.  Evans has toured North America and France opening for such luminaries as Tony Bennett, George Benson, Maceo Parker, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Chris Botti and Derek Trucks.  CCAC is fortunate to be hosting this amazing talent, and promises an evening of unforgettable music for jazz and soul lovers.  Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 at the door, and available at the box office (442-8455) or on line at www.chocolatechurcharts.org.

And there is one more chance left to buy a raffle ticket for the beautiful acoustic guitar that has been signed by all our performers in the 2010-11 season.  The winning ticket will be drawn following the Kellylee Evans concert on June 4th, and you do not need to be present to win.  Tickets are just $10 or 3 for $20, and may be purchased over the phone (442-8455) or at the Kellylee Evans concert.  Don't miss out!!  See you at the Chocolate Church!
