Patten Free Library to offer gardening series

BATH — A six-week series for beginner gardeners will be held May 18 through June 25 in the Community Room at Patten Free Library in Bath. Master gardeners from the University of Maine Cooperative Extension will be the instructors. The sessions are as follows:

Wednesday, May 18 at 6:45 p.m.: “From the Ground Up: Soils” with Brett Thompson

Wednesday, May 25 at 6:45 p.m.:  “Landscaping: Garden Design” with Wallace Pinfold 

Saturday, June 4 at 10:30 a.m.:  “Growing Vegetables” with Linton Studdiford 

Saturday, June 11 at 10:30 a.m.:  “Growing Annuals and Perennials” with Sally Ward 

Saturday, June 18 at 10:30 a.m.:  “Caring for Shrubs and Trees” with Bernardo Feliciano 

Saturday, June 25 at 10:30 a.m.:  “Culinary Herbs” with Bonnie Studdiford
