Maine songwriters to be featured

On May 11, Maine Songwriters Association and One Longfellow Square will present eight of Maine’s best songwriters playing their original compositions. Individual performances will last 20 to 30 minutes.

Maine Songwriters Association has been on the scene for over 10 years but the monthly songwriters’ showcase at One Longfellow Square is a new event. It aims to provide Maine songwriters with an ideal venue for sharing their talent with their fans. The lineup for May 11 includes:

Maine Songwriters Association is a statewide, nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Maine songwriters and their art. In addition to regular showcases and open mic events that MSA hosts each month at various venues, the organization holds periodic songwriting workshops and a regular concert at the St. Lawrence Arts Center featuring Maine’s best upcoming songwriters chosen competitively from among its 800 members.
