PORTLAND Artist Will Barnet will celebrate his 100th birthday on May 25. To honor this extraordinary event, the Portland Museum of Art will present an installation of his work.

Will Barnet at 100, on view April 30 through Aug. 14, will feature approximately 14 lithographs, drawings, watercolors and oils on canvas from the museum’s collection as well as select loans.

Barnet, a painter, printmaker and teacher, is a longtime summer resident of Maine and a close friend of the museum. His work is in major collections from coast to coast. He has mentored generations of students at the Art Students League of New York, Yale University, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and Cooper Union, New York City.
